El presidente Evo Morales entregó el miércoles el centro de comando y control para iniciar las operaciones del 'Sistema integrado de defensa y control de tránsito aéreo' (Sidacta) en la ciudad de Cochabamba, proyecto que fue ejecutado con una inversión de 191 millones de euros y está conformado por 13 radares de uso civil y militar, entre otras estructuras.
"Ahora sí, estamos avanzando a paso firme para, como Bolivia y sus Fuerzas Armadas, sentar esta soberanía aérea para el control correspondiente", manifestó en un acto realizado en el Comando de Seguridad y Defensa del Espacio Aéreo.
Explicó que el centro de comando y control del Sidacta está enlazado con el satélite 'Túpac Katari' y un enlace terrestre alterno de fibra óptica de la Empresa Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (Entel), además de contar con centros de excelencia, salas de control de radares civiles y militares, salas de crisis y capacitación, un centro de excelencia y un centro de formación de control aéreo, entre otros ambientes.
